Holiday Programmes at Xcel
Since the very beginning of the Xcel Project, our Holiday Programmes have been a highlight for young people in Langholm and the surrounding area. Running during the Easter, Summer, and October school breaks, they provide a mix of fun, learning, and adventure.
These programmes are delivered in partnership with a range of local organisations, allowing us to offer a rich variety of activities and experiences.
Every holiday also includes exciting trips to different places, which are always a firm favourite. To make these accessible for as many families as possible, we subsidise travel costs, helping to remove financial barriers and ensure that no one misses out.

About the Holiday Programmes
We try to identify a pathway for the young people, especially where the sporting activities are concerned. So, if a young person takes part in rugby and enjoys it we know they can go along to Langholm Youth Rugby Club and continue their interest and develop their skills. By using local clubs and coaches it means the young people have a familiar face when they go along to one of the clubs for the first time.
All of the Holiday Programmes include trips to a number of different places. These always prove to be very popular and we try to remove the barrier of cost by subsidising the travel, this makes the trips a lot more accessible for a number of young people and families.
